One of the greatest gifts you can give is the gift of a smile. More like an experience, the gift of a smile keeps on giving.

Dr. Paul Shinto and his team of Pasadena dentists have the tools you need to give someone you love porcelain veneers, cosmetic dental crowns, or a complete mouth makeover. Just imagine the look on your loved ones face when you tell them you are footing the bill for cosmetic dentistry.

Cosmetic Dentistry Makes a Great Gift

Having a new smile not only boosts confidence, but can also change the way people see you. If your son or daughter has had a tough time finding a job, it could have something to do with his or her crooked smile.

A trip to your cosmetic dentist in Pasadena will change all of that whether your teen needs clear braces or a couple of CEREC® crowns. A new smile for Christmas can also boost your kid’s job prospects, as a smile is the first thing people notice when someone walks into a room.

Not Just Cosmetic Dentistry

Holiday gifts from the dentist don’t have to be cosmetic. Make up some gift certificates and give your entire family a comprehensive dental examination. What a surprise that will be when your partner and kids open up their Christmas stockings. Unlike chocolate or that new video game, dentistry is a gift that keeps on giving.

You can also schedule a deep cleaning and additional dental work for your family and friends. There is no end to what you can give when you throw cosmetic and restorative dentistry into the mix.

Give the Gift that Keeps on Giving

This year give the present that keeps on giving and gift your family and friends a dental experience with Dr. Paul Shinto and his team of Pasadena dentists. Call for more information today.

Cosmetic Dental Bonding May Not Be For You

If you have been considering cosmetic dental bonding in Pasadena, there are some things you should be aware of before you commit.

If you have been considering cosmetic dental bonding in Pasadena, there are some things you should be aware of before you commit.

Unlike porcelain dental crowns or porcelain veneers, cosmetic dental bonding is not as strong and can chip and stain easier than other types of cosmetic dentistry procedures.

CEREC® Instead of Cosmetic Dental Bonding

Dr. Paul Shinto and his team of Pasadena dentists are preferred CEREC® providers and can repair your tooth in a single dental visit, and while cosmetic dental bonding only requires one visit as well, is a much more permanent solution for chipped, cracked, or stained teeth.

What is Cosmetic Dental Bonding?

If you follow your Pasadena Dentist Blog, you will remember that cosmetic dental bonding is a procedure that dentists use to repair small chips and cracks. Dentists in Pasadena also use cosmetic dental bonding for small fillings, inlays, and onlays.

Using a dental resin, your Dr. Paul Shinto and his team will etch or roughen the tooth before applying the resin. After application, your dentist in Pasadena will sculpt into place before curing with a light or laser. Once hardened the bond is polished and smoothed to perfection.

What is CEREC®?

CEREC® is a chairside dental procedure that takes about an hour and a half to complete. CEREC® dental crowns require less removal of your natural tooth and look just as natural as conventional crowns, even more natural than metal and porcelain crowns.

After digital pictures are taken, your dentist will send those pictures to the computer before they are delivered to the onsite milling machine. After about 45 minutes, your new CEREC® crown is complete and ready for placement.

While dental bonding can last five to seven years, a CEREC® dental crown can give you 10 to 15 years of life before it needs to be replaced.
