Wouldn’t be great if you could have your mouth restored in just one dental appointment? Well now, you can thanks to the revolutionary CEREC® system.

Chairside Economical Restorations of Esthetic Ceramic is available from Dr. Paul Shinto Dentist in Pasadena and is a state of the art tooth restoration method that allows your dentist to reconstruct your tooth restorations while you are literally sitting in the chair.

CEREC® works by utilizing CAD, or computer assisted design and CAM, computer-aided manufacturing so that you can have your dental veneers or dental crowns the same day as your dental appointment.

CEREC® is the affordable way to restore your smile and because CEREC® is metal free and matches the color of your teeth, you can be assured that your new grin is safe and as natural as your own looking teeth.

When you schedule an appointment with your dentist, your mouth will be examined to make sure that you are a good candidate for CEREC® by checking your remaining tooth structure to determine if you need a filling or a CEREC® crown. Once your options have been discussed, your dentist will anesthetize the area before preparing the tooth or teeth for dental restoration. This involves removing the tooth tissue and decay.

Your dentist will take a digital scan of each tooth that is to be restored to create a 3-D image. The image is used to make the restoration doing away with those messy, awful tasting impressions that were used in the past. Once created your new 3-D image will be fed into the milling unit using the colored ceramic block that matches your natural teeth chosen by your dentist.

After your restorations are made, your dentist will make sure that each fits properly before polishing and bonding into place.

With CEREC® you do not have to wear a temporary dental crown or temporary dental veneers saving you both time and money.
