The Problem with Dental Crowns

Dental Crowns are caps made from porcelain, porcelain fused to metal, and metal and are used to restore broken and chipped teeth, to reinforce a large filling or to strengthen a tooth that has had a root canal.

In the past, dentists had to resort to messy dental impressions and temporary dental crowns before being able to place a dental crown. Metal crowns may not be as aesthetic either, but thanks to the wonders of CEREC®, all of that has changed.

Dr. Paul Shinto and his team of Pasadena Dentists are licensed and preferred providers of CEREC® Dental Crowns and can custom made your new crowns in a single dental appointment.

Unlike conventional dental crowns, you don’t have to wait for weeks while wearing an uncomfortable temporary crown. With CEREC®, you can walk into the dental office and walk out with a brand new dental crown. It really is that simple.

Almost everyone is a good candidate for CEREC® Crowns, and if Dr. Paul Shinto and his team of Pasadena Dentists believe that you fit the bill, digital pictures will be taken so that the CAD/CAM system can do its magic. Once the dental crown has been digitally created, the team of CEREC® Dentists Pasadena will make the final adjustments before sending the images to the in house milling machine. The machine will fashion a dental crown using strong, natural looking materials that are color matched to the rest of your smile. During the milling process, you can check your email, watch TV, or just relax.

When you crown is finished your dentist will check for color and fit before bonding the CEREC® Dental Crown into place.

If a dental crown in a single visit sounds good to you, call or click and schedule a CEREC® Crown appointment with Dr. Shinto and his team of Pasadena Dentists today.
