Initial Oral Examination
Your initial oral examination includes a visual examination, charting, periodontal probing, diagnosis and treatment recommendations. We will take digital x-rays which use about half the amount of radiation as a conventional x-ray. Many diseases of the teeth and surrounding tissues cannot be seen when a dentist examines your mouth. An X-ray examination may reveal:

  • small areas of decay between the teeth or below existing restorations (fillings);
  • infections in the bone;
  • periodontal (gum) disease;
  • abscesses or cysts;
  • developmental abnormalities;
  • some types of tumors

Finding and treating dental problems at an early stage can save time, money and unnecessary discomfort. It can detect damage to oral structures not visible during a regular exam. If you have a hidden tumor, radiographs may even help save your life.

We use the Trimira Identifi 3000 Ultra light to screen for oral cancer. The Trimira Identifi 3000 Ultra is a high tech device that allows us to see changes in the tissue earlier than with the naked eye. When caught early, there is a 80-90% cure rate.

CEREC One Visit Restorations

Chairside Economical Restorations of Esthetic Ceramic or CEREC® for short is a new state-of-the-art method of reconstructing tooth restorations. CEREC® uses computer-assisted design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) to offer single-day restorations for patients. This new technology has revolutionized ceramic restorations such as crowns and veneers for patients so that there is no longer a wait between preparing the restoration and finally receiving the finished product. With CEREC®, the technology is used while you are sitting in the dental chair, which is both economical for you and your dentist. The restorations created are metal-free and tooth colored to restore your tooth to its natural beauty, strength and function. With CEREC®’s CAD-CAM technology, these ceramic restorations can all be done in one single visit to the dentist.

Invisalign
It is never too late to enjoy the benefits of beautifully aligned teeth. With Invisalign®, patients can straighten their teeth discretely without the appearance of any metal brackets or wires.

Dental Implants
We will work with an implant specialist to create an implant for a missing single tooth, missing multiple teeth, or replace a removable appliance.

Teeth Bleaching
Our state-of-the-art, in-office Power Bleaching system will make your teeth whiter in less than 1.5 hours. Another option is our home bleaching system you take with you for results in 2 weeks. You can also consider a combination program of both systems for optimal, long-term results.

Crowns
You can have a new smile with all-porcelain crowns (impressed material) on the anterior teeth. For the posterior, we use porcelain fused to metal. We use Vita's Easyshade device which is the latest in technology to determine the best color for your restoration.

Fillings: Resin
Tooth-colored fillings that are light cured to match your teeth. Amalgam: Silver-colored fillings, more durable material.

Root Canals
Root canal therapy provided by USC trained Endodontic Specialist,

Periodontal Treatment
Your dentist and dental hygienist will determine how frequently you should have professional cleanings. We will check regularly for periodontal disease by doing a periodontal probing. If it has been a while since your last cleaning and you have evidence of periodontal disease, possible treatment may include deep scaling and root planing with anesthetic. If you have advanced periodontal disease, you may need a referral to a periodontist, a doctor who specializes in gum disease. Regular professional cleanings and check-ups can help prevent tooth loss due to periodontal disease.

Mouth Guards
Whether you are an athlete or casual sports participant, you should wear a mouth guard to protect your teeth. If you grind your teeth while you sleep, a bite guard will help reduce symptoms of TMJ. We custom make mouth guards in both soft and hard materials.

Removable Dental Prosthesis
For missing teeth, we can make dentures or removable partials for you.
